After Care Specialist

About the role

In this pivotal office based administration role, you will independently oversee all aspects of Maintenance, Defect, and Aftercare Client Services, collaborating closely with clients, subcontractors, the onsite Aftercare Supervisor, and the Construction Manager. Your main objective is to ensure the highest quality of service post-construction, maintaining ongoing communication with clients throughout the 12 Month Defect Liability Period and extending beyond, as necessary.

  • Current Processes: Currently have robust manual processes and procedures in place.
  • Scheduling and Management: Manage and book the Maintenance Supervisor’s calendar, and schedule client and trade inspections
  • Budget Management: Adhere to budgets whilst managing and tracking costs, ensuring costs are recouped by the correct procedures where applicable.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Chair fortnightly meeting and compile updates and discuss open requests as well as provide monthly reporting inclusive of trends and performance feedback and open and closed job status.
  • Procurement: Researching/Engaging new trades for billable works due to trade availability or required works to complement our well established trade base.
  • Innovative Expansion: On the cusp of integrating innovative and automation software solutions to enhance efficiency and client care.
  • Technology Integration: Implement and adapt to new technology, including tracking, issuing work orders, scheduling assessments and repairs, and streamlining communications.
  • Training Provided: Comprehensive induction and training on advanced systems will be provided.
  • Proactive and Problem-Solving: Require a proactive, problem-solving individual with experience in managing various clients and situations.
  • Blending Strengths: Ability to blend existing procedures with new technological solutions.
  • Goal: Lead services into a new era of operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in managing construction and post-construction aftercare services from an office based position.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer care.
  • Superior organisational abilities and capacity for solving problems.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in customer service roles, accompanied by first-rate administrative and organisational competencies.
  • Competence in computer applications, notably Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as client management systems.
  • Competent with Industry Terms and able to interpret Legislation and Guides
  • Prior experience in the residential, building, or property repairs and maintenance sector will be beneficial
  • Prior Understanding of HIA New Home Construction Contract Experience highly regarded
